We are Nic and Anna Allen and we have 7 children aged from 2 up to 21.

We felt a call to move to Walsingham to be near other catholic families that home educated their children. So two years ago we upped sticks from Rutland, and hopped over to Norfolk.Since then we have been getting to know the Sisters and lay members of COLW and have been engaged in formation once a month at Dowry House, and with the wider community over at The House of the Divine Will in Dereham. Over 20 years ago Anna felt a growing  sense that  one day we would be involved in  something that would have  hospitality and spiritual and emotional healing at its heart, especially in the area of marriage and family. This charism has grown over the years and we feel it may well be fulfilled more fully one day within COLW along side the sisters and other lay members.

Our oldest son Patrick is experiencing inner healing in Walsingham, and has been shown such friendship and love from the sisters : spiritual formation, retreats, meals and much more. Our youngest children benefit from some of the sister’s teaching them The Catechism of the Good Shepherd once a week and our middle children get fun, games and spiritual insights once a month at our Dowry House gathering. we’re very blessed indeed.

We’re experiencing a growing sense of belonging and fellowship in this community  and feel blown away that we are part of Gods unfolding plan for Walsingham to be a place of shelter and hope for the world. A place where Mary leads people to her son Jesus, to be healed and restored and put back together.A place where we’re  all learning to echo Marys Yes to God.
